IGNITE MVPs Earned it!

Juwan Ross, Father Lopez

Another Bright House Sports Network Ignite Elite Showcase powered by Big County Preps, major sponsor Vanguard Attorneys is in the books. Weather was great, kids were excellent and the competition level trumped all. A number of players were recognized for their efforts. At the conclusion the MVPs were as follows:

Shawn O’Gorman, Weeki Wachee RB 2016 – Coaches just raved about him in drills. Then he backed that positive talk up with impressive 1 on 1 versus the linebackers and defended the QB in pass rush drills!

Chris Oladokun, Alonso QB 2016 – When all eyes are on you, evaluators expect you to do well. Chris sure did. At times the receivers were jocking for position in line to catch his passes during one on ones.

Rudy Dawson, Hillsborough WR 2016 – Dawson fought off 2014 WR MVP TJ Chase and Countryside WR Kee Whetzel. In the end, the receiver coaches thought Dawson made too many plays to deny him the award. But it was so close between the finalist.

TRE’ MCKITTY, Tampa Catholic TE 2017 – The 6-4/220 Lbs sophomore TE was a big problem for defenders. He challenged safeties and owned the LBs. Best part of his game, knows how to use his body.

Rowdy Driggers, Lennard OL 2016 – The more BCP events he attends, the better he performs. The more comfortable he looks. It is evident that he is coached well at his high school and attitude, technique and dominance was on display yesterday.

KJ Sails, East Bay S 2016 – Here’s what will not happen with KJ; He will not back down. Made it his business to line up against the best pass catchers once he figured out who they were. He and national prospect, TJ Chase went at it. Both holding their own.

Marchalo Judge, Tampa Bay Tech S 2016 – Again? Yes again. Marchalo wins another BCP MVP award. It’s pretty simple how he does it: Great fundamentals, hungry attitude and makes plays. He can play press and loose man. He challenged every pass thrown his way and made it difficult for receivers to get into their route.

Adrian “AJ” Deshazor, Lake Gibson LB 2017 – Didn’t know he was 6 foot tall and 185 pounds. Didn’t know he had such a great frame. Didn’t know he passed dropped so well. Did know he was player and now everyone else knows. AJ separated himself in one on ones. Tough going for the running backs.

Juwan Ross, Father Lopez Catholic DL 2016 – “The spin move” was a killer. Ross, not “Rick Ross” but, Juwan was a monster in one on ones with the spin move. Quick, controlled, effective…Ross went off in King of the Ring and had a great overall day.
