BASKETBALL BASKETBALL RECRUITING

7 hoopers to watch during the second half of the season

Freshman Guard Stephonse Mack, Brandon. Mack saw significant minutes over the holiday break and averaged 10ppg along with 5rpg.

Domani Davis, Hillsborough is a 5’9″ 135 lbs senior. His size was a concern that he would wear down physically from the competition we have. He is the leading scorer in the county and in region 6 at 23.6 points per game.

Joe Bergollo, Leto 6’2 senior G/F. This is Joe’s first year playing high school basketball so he was an unknown going into the season. He has provided toughness, scoring and rebounding and is avg 10.1 ppg, 8.9 rpg.

Amari Goulbourne and Marcus Ransom at Tampa Prep, have stepped right into the line up and have excelled. They both were our 6/7 men last year and have acclimated to their new roles. Trey Sibert has really begun to come on recently. As a 9th grader it took him a few games to get used to the pace and physical play of Varsity basketball.

Rauland Boyd and Javaris Dukes, Lakewood. Both of them were on the team last year but they didn’t receive a lot of playing time. This year they have really stepped their game up and become very important pieces on the team.

JD Brown, Victory Christian has been a strong addition to this year’s squad. This is JD’s first year at Victory and he has worked hard to earn his teammates respect. JD is very coachable and is willing to play any position on the floor for the betterment of the team.

Thomas Dziagwa, Tampa Catholic not that he has surprised me as I knew he was good, just not this good. He is having a phenomenal year. His leadership has been outstanding and he has gone from 16 ppg last year to 26 this year.
