Last night, Jesuit honored their seniors with a first class pre game ceremony. The Lennard Longhorns traveled the highways to crash the celebratory party, but didn’t bring enough muscle to take down the district leading Tigers.
On the night when Jesuit senior PG, Devin Harris was benched due to a two game suspension, the rest of the veteran Tigers would have to pick up the slack to get past the pesky Lornhorns. One player soaking up some of the responsibility left by Harris was senior forward, Travis Johnson.
In a winning effort, 71-54, Jesuit’s Johnson dropped 25 points and defended the basket well on the defensive half of the floor. Johnson really got going in the second quarter where he scored all 4 of his first half fields goals. During the second half, fans got a taste of the 6-4 F pounding the glass and owning the paint.
Johnson was so good, the game announcer seemed to be calling his name every other bucket. Check out Travis Johnson vs Lennard.
