It’s no secret that Blake has struggled over the past years. A number of coaching changes and transfers have slowed down the progression for the Yellow Jackets. Even though the “Black and Yellow” has not been the best team on the field every night, they do have some great players.

DeAndre James is one of those great players we are referring to. He has stayed at Blake during the good and bad. He has been loyal and gone about his business like pro. This season, Blake was 3-7 overall. Defeated Leto, rival Middleton and Lennard. In each one of those wins James rushed for over 80 yards; over 120 vs Leto and Middleton.

Senior stats: 150 carries, 859 rushing yards, 5.73 yards per rush, 95.4 yards per game and 6 rushing TDs. Also totaled 236 yards receiving and 2 interceptions on defense.
