Early Signing Day was here and now done. The idea was good, the execution not so much. Thrusted in the heart of recruiting season and the start of bowl season, ESD just didn’t have the same pop, flare and excitement.

Regardless, kids still inked in their name for their respective destinations. In our areas 33 recruits made their selections. That’s about 1/4 of the total number of kidS who will sign overall for the class of 2018.

13 Hillsborough County athletes signed today headlined by Michael Penix Jr. to Indiana, Brian Snead to Ohio State and Judge Culpepper to Penn State. 7 for Pinellas County with our #1 prospect Amari Burneyformally pledging to the University of Florida. Polk County each had five athletes sign, Ja’Veon Marlow to Vanderbilt. Braden River in Manatee County signed 3 kids to Power 5  schools and Pasco and Hernando County combined to sign three kids with headliner Jordan Miner to Penn State
