E7 – With Video, WRs and DBs produce highlights

Bentlee Sanders

WHENEVER we host our showcases we want two things to happen: 1) The best prospects/players to perform like college prospects and really good players. 2) Kids without popular names to standout and out perform the players we are already aware of.

This past Saturday both happened at E7 Warner in Lake Wales. We learned about a bunch of players and prospects who we had limited or no knowledge of. Up first, we will name drop on a few defensive backs and receivers.

DBs
Bentlee Sanders, 2017 Tampa Catholic WR/CB 5’9/164 – He was pretty good on the field for Tampa Catholic, starting as a freshman and this past weekend he proved that his ceiling is very high and he is hungry to get there. Great feet, great hands, hungry for knowledge and great attitude. Really good possibility of being a high level major D1 prospect.

KJ Sails, 2016 East Bay CB 5’11/156 – Highly competitive athlete. Sails showed that he could cover the strong TEs and run with the swifter WRs and RBs. He really took advantage of the opportunity to show good hips and great feet.

Quenton Williams, 2015 Durant S 6’0/169 – Caught our eye at Ignite. Did some good things. But E7 was made for him. From the outside looking in, his confidence level rose and his game has improved. His reaction time and transition showed that he has a real shot at becoming an attractive college prospect.

Saivion Smith, 2016 Lakewood CB 6’1/167 – Never once did Smith get down on himself after making a mistake. His best asset may be his ability to catch on quickly. His “application” shows that he is willing to increase his football IQ to match his athletic ability. We loved his range, length and agility. The young man is going to grow in a big way and when he does…Watch Out!

Also had a great day…
William Morgan, 2015 Bloomingdale CB 5’10/141
Antwione Sims, 2017 Zephyrhills S 5’10/188
James Martin, 2015 Chamberlain CB 5’5/148
Corey Hicks, 2015 Lennard CB 5’10/162
Darion Staten, 2015 Lake Wales CB 5’10 155

WR
Dayonta Patterson, 2015 Weeki Wachee WR 5’8/151 – What a day! What a day. Mr. Patterson has some wiggle and boy did he show how to use it. Time and time again he made defensive backs look silly for playing press coverage versus him.

Deshawn Barnes, 2016 Lennard WR 6’1/165 – Dude made a catch that set the sideline on fire. Started the 1 on 1 session off with a bang and continued to make plays.

Jahrvis Davenport, 2015 Robinson WR 5’10/181 – The best WR prospect in attendance showed why he was the best. DB and WR coaches raved about his footwork, body control and hands. Jahrvis is so good at the line of scrimmage, it allows him to create space and run great routes to get open versus loose and press coverage.

Mark Hutchinson, 2015 Wiregrass Ranch CB 6’1/183 – At Ignite, Hutchinson did not jump out like he did at E7. On Saturday, he looked like a d1 prospect. Great body, nice size, good speed and big hands. We loved his E7 performance.
