Just two teams in Pinellas County have yet to win a district title. Palm Harbor University made the playoffs in 2011 and 2013 under Head Coach Matt Lepain, but have yet to feel what it’s like to call themselves district champions. The ‘Canes have gone 6-14 since their two playoff seasons that ended in a 33-26 loss to East Lake in 2011 in the regional semifinals and a 24-10 loss to Vero Beach in the regional quarters in 2012. Calvary Christian is the only other team in Pinellas sans district title, but the Warriors have been quite consistent and have posted a 22-19 record the past four seasons after going through four consecutive losing seasons before that.
