Donohoe starts to build staff

Todd Donohoe is back in the saddle as the new head football coach at Freedom High School.  Freedom administration announced the decision today after a long interview process took place post the resignation of previous head coach, Tchecoy Blount.  Donohoe says his first order of business is to begin to build his staff of people who don’t just love football, but have the kids best interest at heart.  “I will reach out to a number of guys who I feel will be interested in helping me build my program at Freedom.  I want to address the football team 1st before I start my official search”.  Donohoe said that he will address the team on Wednesday and make his official announcement to the returning players as the new head football coach.  “There is a lot of talent here” stated Donohoe who is also the head track coach as of now.  Donohoe did state the Don Mesick and Lynn Gross will be a part of his staff.  Mesick, who served as the offense coordinator at Middleton last season, will be names the offensive coordinator for the Patriots while Gross will reunite with Donohoe as his running backs coach (previously coached RB/LB for Strawberry Crest in Donohoe era).
