By the numbers: Berkeley Prep vs. St. Petersburg Catholic

The Berkeley vs. St. Petersburg Catholic series dates back to 1986. The two teams played every year until 2003 which started an extended hiatus in play where the game was not played again until 2009. The series is dead even at 10 wins each, making this game a little more than a district competition, but bragging rights.

SPC was hit with a big blow early which left them without All State RB, Ryan Green for the season. Jaquan Fuller has done well filling the void left by Green. Combined with a team effort, St. Pete Cathoilic is a respectable 2-2 entering this ball game.

Berkeley Prep was expected to do fairly well this season but struggle in district play loosing so many senior key players. The Bucs seem to have continued the success, starting the season fast at an impressive 5-0. Sophomore QB, Brad Mayes and senior RB, Chris Williams have been caring the load as the defense has been solid.
