BURNS AND DEPUE, the latest on the NFF list

Robinson head football coach, Mike DePue and assistant coach, Rob Burns (offensive coordinator) were honored by the National Football Foundation today. DePue won the Billy Turner, Coach of the Year award and Burns received the Roland Acosta, Assistant Coach of the Year award.

DePue’s Knights are one game away from a state 5A title game birth. Robinson concluded the regular season at 9-1 and are currently 12-1 and hosting Godby in the state semi-finals. This is Depue’s third double digit win season in the last four years and second district championship since he has been the head coach at Robinson (2003).

DePue has claimed this to be his final season as the head football coach for the Knights and the stars are lining up for him to have a memorable finale.
