Sunlake’s Joseph Russum may not have the “ideal” body or frame on paper at 5-foot-11, 287 pounds to gain himself an instant fawning from BCS coaches, but every single HC ranked in the Top 25 (and those not ranked for that matter) would love to entertain the thought of transplanting the “bully” mentality this young man possesses into any one of their 6-5/300+ behemoth’s.

Just like Ignite, Russum was yet again doing what caught our attention back in January. That day, “man, you’re a bully” was overheard from one of his position mates in line for reps. As if to say, “we didn’t know you had that in you.” Yesterday, Russum was getting into the heads even if he had to take his 1-v-1 to a third rep to determine the winner. Even between reps he was taking heat from D-lineman claiming his battles were won by grabbing. Claims of “you’re soft” from guys he had already worked could be heard as he simultaneously landed on top of his next opponent like he was performing a perfect WWE move from the top rope.

Should be fun times when he shows up to the third event and guys will want to give him their best shot. Remember, “if they ain’t hatin’, then you ain’t doin’ your job right.”
