BUCCANEERS REACH 53-PLAYER ROSTER LIMIT

Tough day for many players in the NFL as today marks the deadline for franchises to cut rosters down to 53 players. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers announced today the following roster moves:

 In addition, RB Doug Martin will be placed on the Reserve/Suspended list, while DE Jacquies Smith, who is currently on the Active/Physically Unable to Perform list, will continue counting against the active roster. With these moves, the Buccaneers roster is at the 53-player limit.

On the bubble was former Lakewood standout Bernard Reedy who was retained by the team to fill that 5th roster spot. RB Peyton Barber also made the team beating out Jeremy McNichols and Russell Hansbrough.
