Berkeley Prep rolls past Trinity Prep, 45-14

WINTER PARK —
The Trinity Prep Saints were hoping to open their season by sinking the Buccaneers of Berkley Prep, but the Bucs quickly showed that was not going to happen.

On the first possession by Berkley, QB Destin Nichols fired a bullet to Christian Hardegree and #10 does the rest, taking it 74 yards for the score, and the Bucs took an early 7-0 lead.

There were plenty more big plays to come for Berkley on the night, as Nichols once again went to the air and found Reggie Barnes for a 47-yard scoring strike, making it a 14-0 game.

The Saints were then forced to punt again and Berkley’s Nelson Agholor refused to be stopped, as he sliced down the sideline for another Berkley score. The return was 67 yards and that gave the Bucs a 21-0 lead.

Still in the first quarter, Berkley added more. This time Nichols found Tyler Davis and he went for paydirt, 55 yards for the TD, as Berkley Prep rolled to a 45-14 win over Trinity Prep.
