Game of the Week: Southeast holds off Largo, 21-13

BRADENTON —
It appeared that the Packers picked up where they left off from last week’s preseason game, as they returned the opening kick-off 91 yards for a touchdown.

But that’s why they call it the preseason.

After Derrick Doss’ special teams touchdown, it was all Southeast, as the Seminoles rolled off 21 straight points to win their season opener, 21-13.

UF commit Brian Poole shined on defense, recording an interception and a forced a fumble. The bright spot for the Packers was RB Jarvis Stewart, who ran for over 160 yards, even after sitting out a portion of the game with a knee injury.

Seminole QB Myles Braxton-Johnson threw for two touchdowns, finishing 13 of 28 for 130 yards. WR Tre Laws and RB Courtney Allen caught one TD each.
