BENEDICT AND BUTASH PUTTING UP BIG NUMBERS

Bradenton Christian 32, Carrollwood Day 20 – The 2-2 Patriots may have lost on the scoreboard. But, big plays were surely added excitement to the contest. Junior CDS ATH Kyle Benedict ended up with 9 catches and 229 yards receiving vs. Bradenton Christian. Including a 78 yard touchdown catch. Benedict currently ranks 12th in the state in total receiving yards and 5th in receiving yards per game: 505 yards, 126.3 Y/G, 21.0 Y/R, 8 TD REC.

The Patriots have three games in nine days coming up. That’s a grind. Kyle credits his QB for much of his success “My QB Chris Butash is also having a really great year.” The Junior passer has 11 passing touchdowns and 3 rushing td’s in 4 games.
