The running back is arguably the most gifted and natural position on the field. You either have it or you don’t. Training will sharpen your skills, but you can’t teach vision, balance and drive.
All running backs want the ball in their hands two out of three downs. Their attitude is one of a game changer. “The more times I have the ball, the more opportunities I will have to make a play.”
One playmaker that has climbed the BCP running back ranking is DeAndre James. James is a 2013 prospect from Blake high school, which has been the center of a coaching circus for the past couple of seasons. James says things are different now with Coach Gordon as the new head football coach, “Our attitude and discipline are different. We are going to shock some people.”
James feels that Blake High School football is on the right track and is doing the right things for them to be competitive in their district. As far as entering the BCP running back rankings, James had this to say, “It feels good that I’m getting noticed. Hard work is starting to payoff. I am going to keep working for the number one spot.”
