Plenty of players play on both sides of the ball, at multiple position. Some players do it well and other players plain out “Ball”! At the high school level, the name of the game is get your best players on the field at whatever position plays need to be made at selected times in the game. Players who make it happen every game, every way and at multiple positions, can’t be classified at just one position. So, some smart guy, somewhere, at sometime, made a smart suggestion: call them “Athletes”!
As hard as this was, we ranked the Top ATHLETES in Hillsborough, Pinellas and Pasco County (Disclaimer: we have not even touched the surface of Pasco County talent). These rankings will be evaluated again in the summer as opinions change and other players surface. The rankings are based on skill, talent, basically…who we think will be the top ATHs of the 2012 season. Our evaluations are based on film review, Ignite Showcase performance, combines and practice observations.
