AROUND THE STATE RECRUITING

Another threat is beginning to emerge from the Nature Coast offense

Another threat is beginning to emerge from the Nature Coast offense this season. He stands 6-feet 3-inches tall and weighs in just over 180 pounds. His name is Jonathan Thomas and he is turning into the Shark’s go-to wide receiver.

Thomas has good speed and an excellent vertical which he showcased in a week four win over Hernando County and District 6A-6 rival Central.

The sophomore truly is a physical specimen and an all around special student-athlete. Thomas complements junior wide receiver Rohan Blackwood (6-5 208 lbs) in trying to build a passing game into the Nature Coast offense.

If their success continues, opposing defenses will have their hands full as it could spread them out and allow one of the top running backs on the North Suncoast, Matt Breida, to have even more success on the ground.

Nature Coast continues their district schedule this Friday as they make their first trip to River Ridge High to face the Royal Knights.
