PINELLAS COUNTY

Admiral Farragut embarrassed and outclassed by the Juggernaut North Florida Christian Eagles 69-0.

Many times a team gets beat bad and you will say “The score does not indicate the way the game was played.” Unfortunately in this case the score does indicate how the game was played from End to End.

Just looking at both teams in warm-ups you could tell that one team had the advantage in numbers which would give you a advantage in depth.  A coach will always tell you that you can only put 11 on the field at one time which is true but when one team can put a different 11 out everytime it makes a big difference especially in 1PM Florida heat and it showed.

From the opening drive Admiral Farragut appeared to be completely out classed.  They received 1st and could not move the ball an inch testing NFC’s middle and getting pushed back repeatedly.  NFC on the other hand, drove the ball with precision and showed its dominance on both sides of the ball.  They were able to score with ease every time they touched the ball.  You could say the only bad thing that happened to the Eagles today was they missed an extra point.  It appeared that the Admiral Farragut defense could not or would not tackle Sophomore Johnathan Vickers, or seniors, Warren Hart and Matt Dobson.

For Admiral Farragut the best that can be said is they got there.  They did what had not been done in Pinellas county in 15 years and they did it in impressive fashion, they were just out-manned and out played in the state final by a team that has been there before and will be there again.  This was the Blue Jackets 1st time ever advancing past the 2nd round of the playoffs.  For that, there is a lot to be said and proud about.  Now they have been there and hopefully they can make another run next year with some key play makers returning… But if they do they will need to be ready because most assuredly the Eagles will be waiting…. Again.
