Tonight’s Top 10 Games
12 Tarpon Springs @ 11 East Lake
Two of the best QBs in town face off with the whole community watching. At least 10 college prospects could be on the field at one time.
4 Jesuit @ 7 Robinson

District battle! QB toss up still at Jesuit, Byron Pringle making his claim to move up in the BCP rankings and add that these two team met twice last year splitting the series.
3 Countryside @ 5 Largo
“How good is Countryside”? Is always the question. If they beat Largo, that question should be put to rest. Largo is filled with athletes, but depth may hurt. Clash of the Pinellas Titans.
Gibbs @ Spoto
What’s better than the Daytona 500? This game! Speed and athleticism will be all over the field. Gary Simon vs. Geronimo Allison will be a heavy weight battle.
Admiral Farragut @ Canterbury
Farragut is stacked with prospects and Canterbury is the home of Brent O’Neal. Both teams are undefeated and this is a district game. Lots on the line.
Chamberlain @ Wharton
Chamberlain is a sleeping giant. Wharton is banged up some. Both teams are looking for a win.
3 Plant vs. Bergen Catholic
I don’t know anything about Bergen, but I do know that Plant better not start slow like they did last week. Another big time game for the Panthers…use to it by now.
Northeast @ Boca Ciega
Did anyone expect Northeast to start the season 2-0?
13 Hillsborough @ 10 Newsome
Something has to give in this game. Two teams that are polar opposites in many ways. Both coming off of disappointing losses. This could be a confidence killer or builder for either team.
Work Horses
Greg Windham, King QB – 56 pass attempts thus far
Louie Pappas, Tarpon Springs QB, – 515 passing yards this season
Brent O’Neal, Canterbury RB – 372 rush yards thus far
Ryan Myers, Palm Harbor RB – 56 rush attempts this season
Crazy Numbers
Five 2A-5 teams have scored over 90 points in 2 games. Who are they playing and do the opponents have 11 on defense?
Gibbs High has only allowed 5 total points in two games; Indian Rocks has only allowed 3 points in 2 games.
Canterbury, Tampa Bay Tech., Durant and Cambridge have all rushed for over 500 yards through 2 games.
The Road Ahead
Jefferson has a grueling schedule after this Friday (bye week). The Dragons travel to Ohio to face St. Edwards, then back home to host Armwood, in comes Hillsborough, visit King and finish the stretch at Sickles. “Whew”!
Impact Guys this Week
Louie Pappas, Tarpon QB – Pappas could end up having a big game against East Lake as the Eagles have shown some vulnerabilities in the back 7.
Admiral Farragut RBs, Cortavious Givens and Toddrick Macon – With Rayshawn Jenkins out and Alvin Cunningham questionable for tonight’s game, expect both backs to touch the ball a lot. More touches=more yards.
Michael Duclos, Robinson RB – Jesuit will be a dog fight for Robinson, but Robinson could have success running the ball as Plant did vs. the Tigers. Freshman Michael Duclos could flourish if the Knights find a weakness in the Jesuit front.
