Lakewood blanks Blake, 28-0

TAMPA —
Take away the lights, the bands, the cameras and it was almost as if Lakewood’s Tracy Johnson and Rodney Adams were in the backyard playing catch.

At least that’s what it seemed like in the Spartans 28-0 win over the Yellow Jackets Friday night at Blake High School.

The dynamic duo didn’t waste any time, connecting on a pair of completions on their opening drive, the 2nd of which resulted in a 19 yard touchdown. With a 6-0 lead in the 2nd quarter, the two Spartans connected again on the same slant route and 15 yards and a two-point conversion later, it was 14-0 Lakewood.

In all, the Spartan quarterback threw for 3 touchdowns and ran for another, while watching his Lakewood defense pitch a shutout in an impressive win, without star DE & FSU commit Dante Fowler, who sat out due to a suspension.

The Spartans improve to 2-0 on the season, while Blake falls to 1-1. SEE VIDEO HERE
