Daniel Ibsen 2014 DE LB Wharton
Last season in watching this prospect, I thought he had a lot of room to grow. Had good size, pretty good athlete and hustled to the football. A year has passed and milk has done the body good.
Ibsen seems to have found a home as a defensive lineman instead of a stand up backer. Looks to be more comfortable with his hand in the ground, exploding from a 3-point stance and using his athleticism to beat blockers.
At 6-3/230 lbs, Daniel has a frame that can hold weight while still keeping his quickness. He will need to continue to develop a variety of pass rush moves and take on the pulling linemen better. But for his first year as a defensive lineman, you can see the potential.
