As a true team effort, we dug up some numbers to see who has been the most successful teams in the last 5 years in our coverage area (Hillsboroug, Pasco, Pinellas and Polk County). Standing alone at the top are the Panthers of Plant. Within that span, the Panthers earned 5 district titles, 4 straight regional titles, 4 straight title game appearances, winning 3.
Pasco fires in at #2. 57 total wins. The Pirates have played at least 11 games a season since Tom McHugh was hired in 2007. That season, Pasco went 6-5 and have not lost more than 2 games a season since. Stick on 5 straight district titles and 2 regional titles in 2008 and 2011.
At #3, Fort Meade. Miners have been as good as any. Playing 11 or more games each season since 1997. In the last 5 years, the Miners have claimed 5 straight district titles, 3 regional titles (2008, 2009, 2010) and state title game appearance in 2008.
