2016 Ignite Showcase Top QB Performers

After watching every clip our cameras caught this past Sunday at the BCP Ignite Showcase, the following stood out the most on film.

AFTER WATCHING FILM

Quarterbacks

AUSTIN SESSUMS, Tampa Catholic, 2017, QB
He only finished with the second highest Ignite testing rating. A pretty good athlete he is. As far as his arm talent, it gets better each time we see him. Nice touch, mechanics and footwork.

Gavin DenBoer, Gaither, 2018, QB
We are starting to learn more about this young man. He is not the biggest, but throws a really strong ball. Will get better with his feet. Only a sophomore.

Larry Dalla Betta, J.W. Mitchell, 2017, QB
Another really good athlete throwing the football. Could also be recruited as a tight end. But back to him as a passer. A year ago we want to see him smoothen out his release. He has done so. At the same time, he has cleaned up his footwork.

Dalton Jenner, Victory Christian Academy, 2017, QB
He is super interesting. Big, getting stronger and now has a year of starting experience under his belt. Really liked how he threw the deep ball.

Austin Day, Clearwater, 2017, QB
Hopefully Ignite is a preview of what will come for Austin in 2016. At a glance he looked really good. Really threw the intermediate routes well and made good decision in combo 1 on 1s.

Tate Whatley, Strawberry Crest, 2018, QB
The 2018 class is highlighted by several skill athletes. One area kid that might not get the national run as others will, is Tate Whatley. However, just watch him work. He will fight for the top QB spot in the our 2018 class. He has such a quick release, great feet and velocity on his passes. The kid had a great Ignite this past Sunday.

Chaddrick Dekovin Cann Jr, Dixie Hollins, 2017, QB
Second strongest arm at Ignite. Measures a nice 6 foot 2 inches and has improved his delivery. Really excels at the deep post and deep rail routes.

Michael Penix Jr, Pasco, 2018, QB
Will become highly recruited especially if he continues to grow. Throws the ball really well on the move and is working to shorten his release.

Alec Cromie, Weeki Wachee, 2017, QB
Really quick release. Ball leaves the hand with ease. Quick feet and strong arm. Better arm talent than advertised. Keep an eye on this kid.
