WHAT SHOULD HAPPEN

E7 Trainging Camp: Get Trained, Get Looks, Get Ranked
E7 Trainging Camp: Get Trained, Get Looks, Get Ranked

There needs to be a wide open QB competition. Rising senior Jake Day is currently listed as the starter. He did not kill himself last night, but he didn’t solidify the position either. Freshman Shane Bucenell seemed to make things happen. At the same time, he made some freshman, inexperienced mistakes, but his team got behind him and thrived with him behind center. Day seems to be cautious and playing not to make a mistake, while Bucenell was playing as if he had nothing to lose.

Rising junior Kenny Bryant should get plenty of snaps at running back. Bryant showed playmaking ability and moved like a natural ball carrier. He split time at the slot receiver position last night and gain positive yards each time he touched the ball.

WHERE PROBLEMS COULD ARISE
The Bulls don’t have an abundance of size. Both offensive line and defensive line are the smallest in their district. The best linemen will have to play both offensive and defensive line during the season to give the Bulls the best chance to win. Playing both ways will tire the big guys and a game could spiral out of control once they have little energy left.

PLAYMAKERS
Tyree Creary, ATH, 2014 – Homerun threat when he gets the ball. Great speed and ball skills.

Mark Hutchinson, WR, 2015 – Did a great job attacking the football when in the air. Not afraid to make a play.

Xavier Wilson, LB, 2013 – Did not jump out and overly impress, but is a good athlete and could be a blitzing specialist in the season.

Ryan Shea, WR, 2013 – surprising fast. Busted a nice 40 yard kickoff return, threw a monster block and catches the football fairly well.

WATCH DEVELOP
Jaye Miner, S, 2015 – 6/3 right now. Could end up being too big to play in the secondary. Depending on his development, he may grow into being a LB/DE or big WR. Lots of things could happen for this young man. Interesting prospect.

James Jackson, WR, 2014 – Big receiver who could be used as a red zone specialist. Wasn’t targeted often last night, but runs well and stands about 6-3.
