HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY THE BOX

“Windham”…Starting To Become A Household Name

Ask any Hillsborough County football fan the question, “Who are the best QBs in the area?”  One name that you will hear is “Windham.”  Greg Windham that is.  The 6′ 1.5″ 208-pound rising senior QB is a big reason why the King Lions are no longer sleeping.  Windham’s 2010 stats jump off the page at you.  He completed better than half his attempts (93/182) for a season total of 1469 yards, 17 TD’s, and just 7 INTs.

But what really catches your eye is Windham’s big arm and accuracy.  The King QB’s ability to scramble while keeping his eyes downfield and delivering a perfect ball is almost unmatched.

During a handful of offseason exposure events, Windham has caught the eye of plenty of recruiting sources.  College coaches are starting to reach out.  He has recently been invited to attend the University of Florida spring practice and University of Central Florida’s Junior Day.

Though he has no offers at this time, college recruiters now know his name.  This past weekend Windham placed in the Top 5 of 55 QBs at the ESPN Rise Elite 11 and was praised by the staff for his ability and talent.  Windham will bring his big arm to the Bright House Sports Network IGNITE Elite Combine where he will compete against some of the best quarterbacks in the nation with hopes of increasing his visibility and stock even more.

Windham started his high school career at Middleton before transferring to King for his sophomore year.
