RECRUITING FEATURES THE BOX

Watch List: Summer brings the heat

The most dynamic and complete skills training program in Tampa Bay – E7. The three-day skills training camp will bring many of the area’s most elite high school football players who will learn new concepts from well-respected coaches while competing against each other in a 1-on-1 atmosphere.

The E7 Training Camp will allow players to be evaluated by BCP recruiting analysts and will also open its doors to invited media giving athletes complete exposure.

The benefit of our position-specific training is the opportunity to get hands on coaching and evaluation in smaller groups than you would at an all-position camp. Offensive and defensive linemen will square off on June 8, followed by quarterbacks, defensive backs, receivers and tight ends on June 9 and the camp will close with line backers and running backs colliding on June 10.

Participants will have the opportunity to show off their skills and dominate their opponent. Below are a few names we have highlighted and are expected to perform well at E7.  More to come!

KEON BROWN EAST LAKE 2014 CB 5-11/155
Fortunately for us, we know all about Keon Brown.  He was a spring BCP “Leverage” Academy student and made tremendous strides as he developed into a pretty good defensive back after the extensive training sessions.  After Brown trained with BCP, he moved forward and won a few showcase MVPs which has placed him on the recruiting radar.  The young Eagle has really good feet and long arms which gives him an advantage when playing press man to man coverage.  Brown is very athletic and is fearless when attacking the ball.  We are anticipating him being a thorn in the side of the receivers at the E7 Training Camp.
DARQUEZ WATSON LAKEWOOD 2014 WR/TE 6-2/195
Watson is one of the most intriguing prospects that is currently registered for the E7 Training Camp.  He plays a number of different positions including corner, safety, tight end and receiver.  At 6-2 and slightly under 200 pounds, Watson is attracting BCS college attention.  Watson has great transition as a defensive back, has soft hands as a receiver and is physical enough to run block and pass protect as a tight end.  His size will make for a tough match up for defensive backs at E7.
QUENTIN CUMMINGS PALM HARBOR 2013 ILB 6-1/212
Cummings is a rising prospect who has recently gained the attention of a number of colleges. He has good size and is beginning to fill out his 6-foot 1-inch frame. Cummings led the Hurricanes with 99 tackles in his junior season. Including the postseason Cummings finished with 128 tackles.  He entered the the spring season as BCP’s #7 ranked inside linebacker and is expected to one of the top performers at this year’s event.
TYLER KAMINSKI PALM HARBOR 2014 QB 6-0/186
Kaminski was first introduced to BCP this past season against East Lake: Kaminski didn’t register any statistics. He didn’t play much, but what Kaminski showed was leadership ability and the apparent ability to read a defense. The rising junior quarterback took snaps when departing Hurricane QB, Billy Pavlock was split out wide, or lined up as a tailback. Kaminski will be evaluated extensively as the QB position is highly criticized and lots of good hype is swirling around this promising prospect.
JAROD SMITH CARROLLWOOD DAY 2013 OL 6-3/235
It is easy to get  overlooked at a small school like Carrollwood Day.  Robert Davis is the obvious oil that runs the machine.  But, in front of every good runner back, there should be a good offensive line.  CDS offensive lineman Jarod Smith can play center, guard or tackle.  He’s starting to gain Ivy League interest, been invited to several camps this summer and plans to attend Harvard, Penn and Princeton.  Smith is currently ranked as the #9 interior offensive lineman in the BCP coverage area.
ETHAN THOMPSON CCC 2014 ATH 5-11/185
Thompson is another Leverage Academy students.  Though he was a member of a really good CCC line backing crew last season, Thompson has gone through the spring working at outside line backer and even playing some safety.  No surprise to us as we project Thompson as a strong safety at the college level because he run, has good size, transitions well and is becoming better in his man to man coverage. Thompson enjoyed a breakout season in 2011 following his transfer from Palm Harbor University racking up 84 tackles; 3rd on the team just behind fellow c/o ’14 Canaan Brown’s 85 and Sr. Justin Goodloe’s 88 for a squad that finished 8-3 on the season.
BENTLEY EASLEY NEWSOME 2013 DT 6-3/275
Newsome is not plastered all over the Saturday morning paper and they don’t get a bunch of blog attention.  Things could change this year and college scouts could start flowing in and out of Newsome High School.  Easley totaled 28 tackles last season, with that stat expected to double this season after much time in the weight room and a senior season on the line.  The massive Easley is an impressive sight at 6-3/275lbs and is attractive college attention.  He was also a standout performer at the BHSN Ignite Elite Showcase in February.
JACOB RIOS WIREGRASS RANCH 2014 OLB 6-0/190
Pasco County is represented well at the E7 Training Camp.  One player we are excited to see is Jacob Rios from Wiregrass.  Rios has good height and weight to play the outside backer, but we would like to see him compete against some of our areas best.  He is a solid football player we are hoping transforms into a solid prospect.
