Amani Oruwariye, Gaither 2014 CB has verbally committed to Vanderbilt. “A.O.” holds verbal offers from Cincinnati, FAU, Duke, Arizona, Syracuse, Virginia, Ball State, Wake Forest, Iowa State, Georgia Tech., Middle Tennessee, FIU, Marshall, Rutgers, Boston College, USF, Vanderbilt and Louisville. He chose Vandy over Rutgers, and Central Florida.
Oruwariye is the second Vanderbilt verbal commitment from Hillsborough County this year. Armwood’s Kyle Gibson verbally committed to the Commodores earlier this season, giving Vandy two commitments from two of Hillsborough County’s top defenders in the secondary.
The Vanderbilt pipeline is starting to grow. Former Armwood QB, Josh Grady and OL Kevin McCoy are currently on roster at Vandy and current USC safety, Leon McQuay almost verbally committed to Vanderbilt.
