Bulls and Yellow Jackets will kick off at noon in Raymond James Stadium
USF to appear on ABC telecast for third straight season
TAMPA, JUNE 13, 2018 – The USF football team’s clash with ACC foe Georgia Tech on Saturday, Sept. 8 in Raymond James Stadium has been selected to be televised on ABC, the American Athletic Conference announced on Wednesday.
The Bulls and Yellow Jackets will kick off at noon in Raymond James Stadium with the game being televised on a split national telecast on ABC and mirrored on ESPN2 in other markets. It will be the first-ever meeting between the programs and the Bulls’ sixth meeting with an ACC opponent in the last six seasons.
It will mark the third straight season a USF football game has been televised on ABC and the eighth ABC appearance overall for the program, which is entering its 22nd season of football. USF’s War on I-4 clash at UCF last year was televised to a national audience on ABC and 4.7 million viewers tuned in to watch the thriller proclaimed as college football’s best regular season game by Athlon Sports. The Bulls’ 2016 clash in Raymond James Stadium vs. Florida State was also televised by ABC.
USF has had start times and television designations previously announced for three games. USF’s season opener in Raymond James Stadium on Saturday, Sept. 1 vs. Elon is set for a 6 p.m. kick on ESPN3. The Bulls’ road trip to Chicago to play Illinois at Soldier Field on Saturday, Sept. 15 has been set for a 3:30 p.m. kick on the Big Ten Network. USF’s Friday, Oct. 12 game at Tulsa has been set for a 7 p.m. primetime kickoff on ESPN.
Start times and television designations for the remainder of the Bulls’ 2018 schedule will be made on a weekly basis through the season as part of the conference’s 12-day selection process.

USF posted its second straight 10-win season in 2017 (10-2) by winning its second straight Birmingham Bowl with a 38-34 victory over Texas Tech.
