USF Football Radio Show Returns To World of Beer Thursday

Head Coach Charlie Strong will meet fans weekly at WOB on Fowler Avenue; Fans in Bulls gear to receive a free flatbread for their table

TAMPA, AUG. 28, 2018 – The USF Football Radio Show will return to World of Beer on East Fowler Ave. (near the USF campus) on Thursday for the first installment of the weekly show.

Bulls Head Coach Charlie Strong will meet fans weekly during the show, which will broadcast live from World of Beer throughout the 2018 season. The first weekly show will feature a special guest appearance by NFL Hall of Famer and Buccaneer’s legend Derrick Brooks.

Hosted by the Voice of the Bulls Jim Louk and new football analyst and former Bulls’ linebacker Sam Barrington, The USF Football Radio Show airs live from World of Beer from 6-7 p.m. on the USF Radio Network (820 AM locally) and can be streamed on the iHeart Radio Bulls Unlimited Channel.

Bulls fans that attend the show in USF gear will receive one free flatbread for their table and fans will have the opportunity to win prizes throughout the show. The show will air 10 times on Thursday nights and twice on Wednesday nights when the Bulls play Friday night games at Tulsa (Oct. 12) and vs. UCF (Nov. 23). A full show schedule for the season is below.

Fans are encouraged to attend the show live at World of Beer’s East Fowler Ave. location, where Strong will take a break during each show to greet and take pictures with fans. Head coaches from USF’s other sports, as well as notable members of the USF campus community, will also join the show as guests.

USF begins the 2018 season on Saturday, Sept. 1 with a 6 p.m. kickoff vs. Elon in Raymond James Stadium. The game will be broadcast on ESPN3 and can be heard live on the USF Radio Network (820 AM locally, iHeart Radio Bulls Unlimited Channel).

ABOUT USF FOOTBALL
USF posted its second straight 10-win season in 2017 (10-2) by winning its second straight Birmingham Bowl with a 38-34 victory over Texas Tech. USF is one of just 15 teams nationally to win 20-plus games in the last two seasons (21-4) and posted a program-record 20 straight weeks ranked in the top 25, reaching as high as No. 13 in Week 8 of the 2017 season. The Bulls have won five of their last six bowl appearances and made nine (6-3) total bowl appearances in 21 seasons, including a current run of three straight bowls. USF won a program-record 11 games in 2016 (11-2) and has posted 14 winning seasons. The USF program, which first took the field in 1997, reached No. 2 in the rankings in 2007 and has seen 30 players selected in the NFL Draft, 14 named All-American and had 28 first-team all-conference selections.
