Artavis Scott, East Lake 2014 WR has plenty of options. It’s still early, but the 2014 prospects holds verbal offers from 15 collegiate football programs and will collect plenty more.

He is currently the second best WR prospect in Tampa Bay behind Miami verbal commit Travis Johnson from Jesuit. Scott has taken a few unofficial visits to a few universities to get a feel for a few colleges and their football programs. He is very much open and will not shy away from any new interest, but admits that a few schools are at the top of his list.

Ohio State and Notre Dame sit above the rest currently with Central Florida following. He holds verbals from Florida, Florida State and South Florida, but said he had great visits with the Ohio State and ND staffs when he visited this past summer. “I think both would be a good fit. I would be one of a few [playmakers] instead of one of many” says Scott. He also stated that he stays in constant contact with both the Ohio State staff and Notre Dame coaching staff.

“I like UCF because my quarterback is going there. I think Pete [Dinovo] and I would have a lot of success. I like the coaches and had fun when I visited.” Even though the three schools mentioned are currently the schools that are UNOFFICIALLY at the top of his list, Florida, Florida State and USF were also mentioned.

“I like USF. Really, the only thing I don’t like about USF is, they don’t have a stadium,” said Scott when asked about the Bulls. He made mention that the current success of each program or lack of success has not effect how he looks at each school. Really stressed the relationship with coaches and how he enjoyed the visit to the campus.
