UCF’S MILTON GOES FOR 412 YARDS WHILE USF’S FLOWERS RACKED 516

· UCF, Memphis and USF were among the American Athletic Conference teams to earn wins in Week 10, leaving The American as the only NCAA FBS conference that has three teams with one loss or fewer.

· UCF remained one of five unbeaten teams nationally (along with Alabama, Georgia, Miami (Fla.) and Wisconsin) as the Knights improved to 8-0 for the first time in program history with a 31-24 win at SMU. The Knights and Mustangs combined for 1,104 yards of offense as UCF gained 615 yards and SMU had 489.

· UCF QB McKenzie Milton threw for a career-high 412 yards and WR Tre’Quan Smith had seven catches for 141 yards, but it was the play of RB Adrian Killins Jr. that provided the difference. Killins rushed for 145 yards on 14 carries, including highlight-film touchdown runs of 34 and 64 yards.

· SMU, which fell at home for the first time, was led by WR James Proche, who had seven catches for 173 yards and a touchdown, and LB Jordan Wyatt, who had a 36-yard interception return for a TD as part of a defense that forced three turnovers.

· Memphis improved to 8-1 overall, and remains atop the West Division at 5-1, after the Tigers scored the last 27 points of the game in a 41-14 win at Tulsa Friday. QB Riley Ferguson threw for 298 yards and four touchdowns, while RB Darrell Henderson rushed for 123 yards on 14 carries to help Memphis pull away. Tulsa was paced by a 119-yard rushing effort from RB D’Angelo Brewer.

· USF likewise stands at 8-1 overall as the Bulls scored a 37-20 win at UConn Saturday. QB Quinton Flowers enjoyed his best game of the 2017 season as the veteran signal-caller threw for a career-high 385 yards with three touchdown passes to go with 131 rushing yards on 16 carries.

· Flowers finished with 516 yards of total offense, becoming the fourth American Athletic Conference player in program history to break the 500-yard mark in a game. WR Marquez Valdes-Scantling had six catches for 152 yards and a touchdown for the Bulls.

· Houston moved into second place in the West Division as the Cougars were 52-27 winners against ECU at TDECU Stadium. QB D’Eriq King made his first career start behind center and responded by throwing for 330 yards and three touchdowns on 15-of-21 passing.

· ECU QB Gardner Minshew came off the bench in the first quarter to set an American Athletic Conference single-game record with 52 completions to go with a career-high 463 yards and three touchdowns, while both teams finished with two 100-yard receivers.

· The Cougars scored 21 points off of three ECU turnovers, however, including a 74-yard interception return for a TD by CB Brandon McDowell.

· Temple enjoyed its best showing of the season as the Owls took a 34-26 win against Navy Thursday at Lincoln Financial Field. Temple matched its season high with 34 points behind a four-touchdown performance from QB Frank Nutile, who was making his second career start.

· WR Adonis Jennings had five catches for 127 yards and two TDs and the Owls held Navy to a season-low 136 rushing yards and became the first team in 69 games to deny the Midshipmen a rushing touchdown.

· Cincinnati picked up its first conference win of the season as the Bearcats held Tulane to a touchdown and three field goals in a 17-16 win in New Orleans. QB Hayden Moore threw for 248 yards and a touchdown and freshman running back Gerrid Doaks rushed for 149 yards and 17 carries for the Bearcats.
