Tricks and treats take a backseat to Texas Football

DECATUR, Texas (WFAA) — While kids in other towns are out trick-or-treating on Halloween, the streets of Decatur will be quiet as a tomb.

Decatur City Council voted Monday to move Halloween up a day, to Oct. 30.

Mayor Martin Woodruff says the change was needed because the Decatur High Eagles have their last home football game Friday night. Plus, it’s senior night.
