PINELLAS COUNTY RECRUITING

Top 6 from Farragut’s win at Northside

Admiral Farragut clinched their first district title since 2002 and ended Northside Christian’s quest for a perfect season with a 47-32 victory…

The best players played the best!

Austyn Causey, Admiral Farragut QB – Started slow and finished on fire. He was the catalyst to a second half scoring frenzy by the Blue Jackets. He finished the game with 328 yards and five TDs.

Matt Landers, Admiral Farragut WR – The buzz about Landers has been growing throughout the season and in front of a few college coaches, Landers had one of his best performances. In his 6-5 frame he showed 4.5 speed. He was tough, swift and nimble. Made spectators take note.

Keondrae Miller, Admiral Farragut CB – Young corner who has been maturing throughout the season. Could have played his best game on the biggest stage last night. Defended the pass well and even grabbed an interception to slow down a Northside scoring drive.

Derrick Wright, Northside Christian WR – When the Mustangs needed a play, Wright made it. The young man is a firecracker and can explode at any moment. Had some clutch grabs and was very productive in the return game.

Demetrius Jackson Jr, Northside Christian CB – Shadowed Matt Landers the majority of the night and pressed him all game long. He won some and he lost some. But he never faded away or ran from the competition. Covered extremely well versus one of the top receivers in the area.

Darius Williams, Northside Christian DB – The backend patrol played really well. Played plenty of man to man coverage and tackled well in space. When he had a chance to lay the wood, he smacked dudes.
