TOP 17 SACK ARTIST: THE STING OF THE YELLOW JACKET

WILL BE CONSIDERED FOR ALL BCP TEAMS

“G.A.T.A”…If you don’t know what that means, ask a defensive player. It’s the call of the dogs. Especially for the players who are charged with pressuring the quarterback.

Sacks! The single most defining statistic of all football stats. The sack is the culmination of effort, attitude and MORE effort. The production of a defensive box player is defined by this one stat. Either an offense does everything in their power to stop a sack master or they roll the dice and get eaten alive.

Below are the top 17 players in the BCP area who totaled the most sacks this season. At the top of the list is Blake senior defensive lineman, Patrick Keenan. His future is bright. Power five schools like Iowa state, Washington, Illinois, Rutgers to name a few are showing heavy interest. He understandstands what leadership means within his play. He wants to be the best, some may call it cocky. He just has to stick to the plan of attack and he’ll do great things.

“Patrick “P12″ Keenan came to us as a WR. He wasn’t doing well at that position his freshmen and sophomore years. I told him to come play DE for me. He was hesitant at first, but eventually he bought in, took the coaching, which was new for him. Applied it and went to work. His growth on and off the yard is He’s a great kid, a loyal kid. His future is bright.” – Anthony Davis, Blake defensive coordinator
