HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY RECRUITING

TJ Harrell is one to watch

Many teams are transitioning to the 3-4 defensive scheme. A defensive front that relies on three down linemen with four linebackers, to stop the run and be successful vs. the pass. In many 3-4 schemes, one OBL is primarily used to apply pressure/rush the quarterback.

Tampa Catholic’s young OLB prospect has been a huge factor in the Crusader defensive success. In 2011, TJ Harrell accounted for 40 total tackles, 3 sacks, I interception returned for a TD, 4 PD and 2 fumble recoveries. He is not only a good run stopper and pass rusher, but is solid in coverage. He is a focal point of the Crusader defensive front, and will be a pleasure to follow for years to come.
