Lakeland, FL – Land O’Lakes carried their 2-2 overall record to Lakeland last night to tussle with the home Lakeland Christian Vikings. What looked like a defensive struggle early transformed into a offensive explosion in the second half.

Land O’Lakes ATH Tommy Farmer scored first with a 1 yard TD run after a lengthly drive. Most of the yards coming by way of QB Rashawn Kindell.

RB Marlow got into the act scoring the first of his 3 touchdowns on a 20 yard TD reception from Lorenz Deshazor capping off a 72 yard drive by the Vikings. They would miss the extra point and the Gators would retain the early lead.

LCS started off the second quarter with two fumbles lost at the goal line. First resulted in a touchback as the ball rolled out the end zone. The visiting team entered halftime with a 7-6 lead.

Lakeland Christian RB BJ Sirmons opened up the half up with 100 yard kickoff return setting a school record and putting the home team up 13-7 after the extra point.

Land O’Lakes forced to punt and a bad snap mishandled by the punter created a fumble recovered by RB Marlow who picked up the ball and returned it for a 5 yard TD.
