Senior OH Brenna Reinhard not only had the best shoes on the court (Lebron 17s) she was clearly the biggest threat to the Patriots. Powerful attacks, graceful returns, flawless communication…She was in control and each time the ball was set and she approached for the attack, time slowed and the thought crosses the mind “Oh, she is about to kill that ball.” Then concern crosses the mind for defense, “Duuuuuuuuck!” She finished the game with 10 Kills, 8 Aces, 7 Digs, and 1 block.

Then there was junior OH Valentina Echeverri. Where do we start? The numbers are always good. Led the team in digs with 16, add 6 kills and 6 aces. As a fan of athletes, it was hard to take eyes off of her. She stayed in the air, floating, flying, striking. When the ball went up, soon after…so did she. She was the perfect complement to Brenna Reinhard mentioned above. Total focus and a fan of the sport could feel her competitiveness. The energy she displayed was captivating. Not a single smile cracked with the set was in play. She was all business.

You can’t leave out Junior MH Olivia Aniol. .50 kill percentage versus Freedom. 255 kills on the season. Total engagement…her presence on the court was visible. Not only was a beast inside the strike zone, but she was also super impactful in the center of the court finishing the game with 11 digs. She quick off the ground has great hand-eye coordination and we loved her defensive anticipation.
