BAY AREA BITES RECRUITING

Three Hawks Commit

Three more Armwood Hawks have committed to continue their football careers in college this morning.

OL Kevin McCoy committed to Vanderbilt while RB Wade Edwards and LB Keionne Baines committed to Akron.

McCoy joins fellow Armwood Hawk Joshua Grady, who just completed his redshirt freshman season, in Nashville.

With these three commitments the Hawks now have an astonishing 10 Division I commits from the 2012 class.

McCoy earned first team All-BCP honors while Baines and his 148 tackles earned a spot on the All-BCP second team.

Edwards enjoyed an increase in workload with lingering injuries to Matt Jones and finished with 98 carries for 726 yards and 12 TDs.

An impressive showing, the Hawks’ 2012 offensive unit has six players committed to fulfill athletic scholarships while the defense is poised to sign five.
