I checked in with Strawberry Crest new head coach, Gerald Dickens, to get an updated on the change and new direction of the team. Dickens sounded more than positive and super excited, “The kids are buying in and we are a work in progress”. Dickens also gave high praise to a few players who he feels are as good as any other and have been leaders through the transition. Dickens states “Junior Karel Hamilton and senior Guillermo Garcia are very good players and showing leadership”.  Strawberry Crest is part of a killer district topped off by Armwood, Jefferson, Hillsborough, King, Sickles, Leto and the Chargers will need as much leadership and players as possible to survive.
