Despite the fact Thomas is still in the recovery process—he still walks with hindrance because he can’t lift his foot to his normal height—and isn’t expected back in action until next May, the University of Alabama-Birmingham made Thomas a scholarship offer. Callahan said the offer came from UAB offensive coordinator Kim Helton and it’s one Callahan will take time out of his day to announce.
