Tampa Bay Tech was completley dominate on both sides of the ball. Almost perfect with only two mistakes the whole game and that was two missed extra points. In the first quarter, TBT jumped right out on Freedom with an 26-0 lead which started on their second offfensive play of the game. RB Lamarq Caldwell burst up the middle for a 73 yard TD run, then Deon Thompson scored from 19 yards out. TBT also added a touchdown on defense when DB Armani Sampson returned an 20 yard interception to the endzone. A nice 57 yard run setup by Clunder Lacount, he then finishes off the drive with an 3 yard TD run at the end of the quarter.

In the second quarter TBT continued to piled on 21 more points, begining with 8:00 left in the 2nd QB Aaron Midthus scores on a 15 yard TD run, then with 5:45 left Midthus connects with Derrell Thompson for a 71 yard TD pass, and with 4:06 left in the 2nd RB Justin Aiken scores on a 2 yard TD run, which give TBT a 47-0 score at halftime.

In the second half the game was on a running clock, but TBT kept on playing hard and continued scoring. With 9:13 left in the 3rd Quarter, Midthus hits RB Michael Fry on a flare out pass ,and Fry does the rest by scoring from 32 yards out. With 4:25 left in the 3rd Deon Thompson runs in a 22 yard TD, and in the 4th quarter with 10:52 left TBT scores their last touchdown of the game as Derrell Thompson finds WR Andrew Edwards for a 1 yard TD pass, with the added 2PT conversion. TBT finishes this night by defeating Freedom a lopsided score of 69-0.

Impact Players were TBT QB Aaron Midthus was 5/11 for 156 yards and 2TD’s, also rushed for 48 yards and 1 rushing TD, Midthus looked comfortable in the pocket and ran when needed to run.

TBT RB combination of Thompson (7 carries 78 yards 2TD’s), Lacount (3 carries 88 yards 1TD), and Caldwell(3 carries 77 yards 1TD) ran hard all night when they got the ball they hit the hole and made defenders miss. Lacount also had an Interception. Derrell Thompson showed his athleticism tonight by scoring 2 TD’s (recieving and passing).

TBT Defensive Line collected 9 sacks, as they gave Freedom QB’s trouble the whole night. TBT DL Andrew Green had four sacks.
