TAKE-AWAY KINGS: PRIORITY ON INTERCEPTIONS

WILL BE CONSIDERED FOR ALL BCP TEAMS

Defensive players are graded on production and take-aways. Creating turnovers is not by accident. It is practiced and an attitude is developed.

At every level, the most successful programs practice creating turnovers. Interceptions derive from discipline, some technique and a good amount of luck. Luck = Opportunity and preparation.

Being in the right place at the right time is a big part of securing the interception. Film study, knowing the personnel and anticipating throws can put a defensive player in the right place. But, many times…Poorly thrown balls, tipped passes lead to the majority of the interceptions. The stat is still the same…An interception is an interception no matter how it happens.

The list below are players in the BCP coverage area with five or more interceptions this season. Jordan Oladokun led the area with 10. Five other players had six or more interceptions. Maxpreps.com Statistics
