USF head coach to join notables such as Tony Dungy, Warrick Dunn, Danny Wuerffel & James Brown in Thursday evening event in Tampa

TAMPA, FEB. 15, 2017 – USF Head Football Coach Charlie Strong will join a high profile panel of notable sports and television stars and noted authors in a discussion of race and faith Thursday in Tampa.

The one-of-a-kind event – Under Our Skin: A Forum on Race & Faith – will be held Thursday evening, Feb. 16 at the Crossing Church (10130 Tuscany Ridge Drive) in Tampa. Moderated by ESPN’s Sage Steele, a former Bay Area sports reporter, the panel discussion presented by Tyndale House Publishers will also feature Pro Football Hall of Fame coach Tony Dungy, former Buccaneers and Florida State running back Warrick Dunn, winner of the NFL’s Walter Payton Man of the Year Award, and CBS Sports broadcaster James Brown. It will also feature 1996 Heisman Trophy winning and former NFL quarterback Danny Wuerffel, Baltimore Ravens tight end Benjamin Watson, New York Times bestselling author and former LSU student-athlete Mo Isom, Detroit pastor and author J. Kevin Butcher, and Ben Sciacca, executive director of Restoration Academy in Birmingham, Ala.
