Dover, FL – Strawberry Crest signs their first set of athletes in school history. Softball player Shamira Engram, baseball player Jordan Keys, basketball player Reggie Burke, and football player Norman Hartman; have made their mark in school history. Shamira has signed with Claflin University and is very excited to start her college softball career. She is a dual athlete, as she is also part of the basketball team at Strawberry Crest. Jordan Keys is signing to a local St. Pete College. Keys is not only the first baseball player in school history to sign, but also the first baseball player to sign under Coach Eric Beattie, a former local high school baseball player who signed to the University of Tampa in his days. Reggie Burke is the first basketball player and Coach Lewis seemed to be ecstatic to have his first athlete signed. Coach Lewis could not stop praising the type of player Reggie has been since he stepped foot onto Strawberry Crest’s basketball courts. Norman Hartman is the first football player to sign at Strawberry Crest. Coach Todd Donohoe could not stop complimenting the attributes that Norman will bring to the team at Averett University. The best advice Donohoe had for Hartman? It’s cold in Virginia so take warm clothes! Big County Preps would like to wish these student-athletes the best as they start a new chapter of their lives.
