STORM TO HOST OPEN TRYOUT SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 19th IN TAMPA

Tryout to be conducted on AMALIE Motor Oil Field at AMALIE Arena

TAMPA BAY – The Tampa Bay Storm, in conjunction with Prospect Proving Ground, Inc., is pleased to announce it will hold an open tryout on Sunday, November 19 at AMALIE Arena (401 Channelside Drive) with registration beginning at 8:00 a.m. and testing starting promptly at 9:00 a.m.

This one-day tryout is open to interested players. All participants are competing to earn the opportunity to sign a professional contract with the Storm. Last season alone, 25 tryout participants were brought in to practice with the team and several were acquired by the Storm throughout the season.

Players who have attended open tryouts in the past have found success, including wide receiver and kick returner Kendrick Ings, who was named the Arena Football League Playmaker of the Year following the 2017 season.

Participants will be able to take part in drills that will be conducted on AMALIE Motor Oil Field, the home turf of the Tampa Bay Storm. The Storm is the only team to conduct in-arena open tryouts, giving all players the ability to practice in game-like conditions.

The camp will be directed by the Storm coaching staff who will evaluate players in combine exercises such as the 40-yard dash, 20-yard short shuttle, and 20-yard L-drill as well as have their height and weight recorded. Immediately following the testing, participants will take part in position and one-on-one drills.

Interested players are encouraged to pre-register at www.tampabaystorm.com. For those who register early and online, payment is $75 and can be made with a credit card. Pre-registration ends at noon on Friday, November 17.

Players can also register the morning of the open tryout. Payment is $100 for those that register the day of the open tryout. Payment must be made upon arrival and by cash or money order.

Kickers will be evaluated at a later date and by invitation only.

All payments are non-refundable.
