Spring Practice: Riverview

Riverview Spring Practice

I arrived late at “The View”, so no real exciting observations.  I expected to see more kids than were there (about 40-45 kids).  It was defensive install when I arrived and the secondary looks very athletic off 1st glance.  One big Ol’ freshman offensive lineman, that ran well and a solid defensive NT, that looks like he can “get after it a lil bit”.  The team seemed to enjoy the conditioning at the end of practice, where coach Gifford tweaked the running some, so it was some what competitive and fun for the kids.  The QBs are both freshman and will need to hit the weight room hard over the summer.  Two different styles, but someone has to line up at the end of the spring as the starting QB.
