Short Capsule: What a season in 2010 for the Eagles. But with great success come great hurdles to overcome. The loss of key players such as Reggie Roach, Darius Lee and Shawn Council will force the Eagles to develop new chemistry and find new playmakers. Yes, the Eagles lost a lot, but the Eagles return some athletes that can get the job done. Alan Knipple will return at QB for Brandon and will have 6-4 WR, Jalen Stringfellow to toss the ball to. The Eagles were very productive running the ball last season and rising season Tyrell Gardner will carry the load in 2011. The defensive line will be the key to the Eagles’ success. The loss of outstanding defensive tackle, Shawn Council, hurts. But Vincent Motley and Isaiah Harris will make for a good DE/DT combo. Brandon finds their district to be a tough one, but if they can survive injury and gel together as a team, there may be a district championship coming to the Eagles’ Nest.

“Saying Goodbye” (graduation or transfer):
Reggie Roach, ATH
Josh Celerine, DB
Darius Lee, RB
Shawn Council, DL
Walter Keel, OL
Billy Jackson, DL

“Hello Again” (key returners or potential Impact Players):
Tyrell Gardner, RB/OLB
D’andre Franklin, DB
Alan Knipple, QB
Jalen Stringfellow, WR
Vincent Motley, DE
Isaiah Harris, DT
Jesse Chessnut, LB

“Must Have”:
• Strong run attack on offense
• Aggressive attitude
• Limit Big Plays

“Uh-oh”: Holes need to be filled on the offensive line. If the Eagles can’t find replacements up front to open holes for RB, Tyrell Gardner, It will be a long season for Brandon.
