James: is getting handwritten letters from coaches a good sign that an offer may be coming soon?
BCP: Getting hand written letters is a great sign that the coaching staff has strong interest in a prospect. It does not necessarily mean an offer is coming. However, it is an excellent sign that a staff is very interested.

Julian: Should I expect interest letters if I perform well at combines?
BCP: “Should” is not the word I would use. If you perform well at the RIGHT combines, the combine promotors SHOULD push your name to college contacts and college coaches should begin to do their homework on you (contacting high schools, contacting high school coaches, etc.) which COULD lead to you getting interest letters from colleges. The media also helps tremendously. College programs have someone on staff that follows the recruiting news. New names start popping up, they jump on the trail to find out more info on new potential prospects.
