Recruiting Blast: Top prospect impressed by college play

How do some of our Top Prospects feel about some of the teams that they have recruiting interest in after one week of college football?

Marquez Valdes, Lakewood 2013 WR
Louisville – ranked top 25, offense ran like a well oiled machine. QB play was amazing picking apart a SEC defense. Spreading the ball well. I can fit right in right away.

West Virginia – explosive high powered high tempo offense ran up the score with big plays and the ability to get playmakers the ball. Killed every part of the passing game. I loved the uniforms too!

Toledo – Even though they didn’t win the game I loved the way the offense spread the ball and how they love to pass. Especially to my big bro Bernard Reedy #1.

Mike Johnson, Countryside 2014 CB
I have interest from Purdue, Michigan State, Mississippi State and West Virginia that have been active so far.

Tristan Cooper, Plant 2013 WR
Northwestern – That game was crazy. They battled and battled just came up with a clutch throw and catch at the end of the game. Showed a lot of confidence.

Iowa State – They had a good game against Tulsa. Their offense did some really good things throwing the ball and running it and they are gonna surprise some people in the Big 12 this year.

Arkansas State – Had a tough one vs. Oregon and they battled with them in the second half I saw.

FAU – Had a solid win, a lot of guys made some good plays.

Middle Tenn. State – Had a tough loss in a close game but they showed a lot of bright spots. They have a new staff on defense it was just some growing pains there.

Nate Godwin, Freedom 2013 DB
Love the way West Virginia played. High powered offense, defense did okay. But, putting up 69 points on a BCS team is always impressive. They also put up 70 against Clemson. I also liked how USF played. I thought they should have won by more but a “W” is a “W”.

Mason Cole, East Lake 2014 OT
I really like the way Clemson, USC and Ohio State played… They all played real explosiveness and were hype. That’s what I like in a team.

Kyle Gibson, Armwood 2014 S
Some teams that have contacted me are USF, North Carolina, Louisville, Miami, Michigan State, Georgia and Kentucky. I was mostly impressed watching Vanderbilt.

Tramaine Batten, Dunedin 2013 RB
Ohio, because they were in a tough place to win at Penn State as underdogs. Bowling Green put up a nice fight vs. Florida. I’ll give them credit for never giving up.

AJ Sattinger, Countryside 2013 TE
I talked to the Ohio coach and told me to check there game against Penn State. While watching it, I was very impressed and I could definitely see myself in that offense. They definitely raised my eyebrows and a school I could see myself at.
